Welcome to our Yoga Trapeze® class, an exciting and innovative aerial yoga practice that combines traditional yoga poses with the support of a specialized yoga swing. This unique class offers a fun and dynamic experience that allows you to explore inversions, deep stretches, and core strengthening in a suspended and supportive environment and gives access to poses that may not be accessible to you on a yoga mat. Our Certified instructor will guide you through a series of poses and exercises designed to enhance strength, flexibility, and balance while providing a sense of weightlessness and freedom. The Yoga Trapeze® also offers the opportunity for beginners to experience inversions in a safe way that does not require strength or flexibility. It allows you to experience inversions, decompress the spine, and experience the exhilaration of being suspended in the air. "Flying" on the Trapeze offers the ability to assume extremely deep backbends in a passive way, allowing you to safely hold poses for long periods of time. This allows for spinal traction and decompression which increased space between the lower vertebrae and can help relieve back pain and sciatica. This is similar to inversion therapy using tables and chairs. Kids (and adults) have so much fun hanging upside down like Spider-man and "flying" through the air in poses like Superman. You will learn how to safely enter and exit the swing, gradually exploring a range of inverted poses such as flips, backbends, and hanging stretches that can provide a unique sense of release and rejuvenation. The class will also incorporate traditional yoga poses, adapted to the swing. You will flow through sequences that engage your core, build strength, and increase flexibility. The swing acts as a prop, offering support and allowing you to deepen your stretches and poses in ways that may not be accessible in a regular yoga practice. The Yoga Trapeze® is suitable for all levels, as modifications and variations will be provided to accommodate individual needs and abilities. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced yogi, this class offers a new dimension to your yoga practice, challenging you to step outside your comfort zone and explore new possibilities. Please arrive 10-15 minutes before the start of class.
