About the Course

Welcome to our Teens' Yoga Class, a dynamic and empowering experience designed specifically for young minds and bodies. This class offers teenagers a safe and supportive space to explore the benefits of yoga, cultivate self-awareness, build resilience, and develop healthy habits for physical and mental well-being.


As teenagers arrive at the yoga studio, they will find a welcoming and non-judgmental environment where they can connect with peers who share similar experiences and challenges. Our experienced and certified instructor understands the unique needs of teenagers and will guide them through a practice that combines physical movement, mindfulness, and self-reflection.


The class begins with a centering exercise to bring awareness to the present moment and set positive intentions. Through breathing techniques and mindfulness practices, teenagers will learn to calm their minds, manage stress, and enhance their ability to focus and concentrate.


The yoga sequences in this class are designed to build strength, flexibility, and balance. Teenagers will engage in a variety of dynamic and empowering poses, encouraging them to explore their physical capabilities and develop a deeper connection with their bodies. The instructor will offer modifications and challenges to meet each individual's needs and abilities.


Teenagers will also have the opportunity to explore their emotions and build emotional resilience through guided self-reflection activities. The practice of yoga provides a space for self-expression and self-acceptance, allowing teenagers to navigate their emotions with greater ease and cultivate a positive relationship with themselves.


This class may incorporate partner poses and interactive activities that encourage teamwork, communication, and cooperation. Through these experiences, teenagers will develop social skills, empathy, and a sense of community, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.


Teen Yoga instruction is sensitive to daily challenges, stresses and/or traumas that teens may have to deal with. Mindfulness and stress management techniques are integrated throughout the class, empowering teenagers with practical tools to navigate the challenges of daily life. They will learn strategies to reduce anxiety, increase self-confidence, and promote a sense of well-being.


As the class winds down, teenagers will be guided through a relaxation exercise, allowing them to rest and integrate the benefits of their practice. This quiet time encourages a sense of calm, rejuvenation, and self-reflection.
