Yoga As A Healing Modality
200 Hour Teacher Training
Includes an Additional
25-Hour Trauma-Informed Certification
This is an Experiential program.
Exceptional teachers understand that to truly teach yoga, you must first experience it deeply for yourself. Our priority is to guide you into the heart of yoga so that you can fully embody its teachings, both on and off the mat. By immersing yourself in your own practice and the philosophy that underpins it, you will develop the insights and understanding needed to share yoga authentically and effectively with others.
Beyond mastering poses and teaching techniques, this program will equip you with a deeper understanding of the "why" behind what we do—connecting the physical practice to the rich philosophy that makes yoga so transformative. Unlike other training programs, we are committed to providing you with a strong and comprehensive foundation from which you can confidently begin your teaching journey.
This program is designed not just to teach yoga, but to help you live it—creating a foundation of personal transformation that will empower you to become an impactful and inspiring teacher.

Our Instructors are Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Providers
Other yoga teacher training programs provide basic information and a script to follow for cueing students into physical postures. At The Mind-Body Connection, our trainings are different because they are led by a Yoga Therapist with extensive training. We deep dive into what yoga truly is, the effects of the body positions, breath and more; and how specific intentions behind each action can achieve a desired outcome in body, breath, mind, emotions and personality. This comprehensive understanding enables you to understand not just what to do when leading a class but also why you are doing it, giving you the strongest foundation possible.
Additionally, we only offer this program in-person so that you have hands-on training working with real students in a therapeutic studio setting.

Your Lead Instructor
Kevala discovered yoga and meditation after enduring years of severe trauma and complex PTSD. When traditional psychotherapy and even somatics didn’t provide the relief she sought, yoga revealed a different path. Through its integration of breath, āsana, and, most importantly, internal awareness and self-study, yoga became more than a physical practice—it became a gateway to deep reflection and internal connection. By turning inward and examining the patterns of her mind and body, Kevala was able to release the trauma stored within her and find profound healing. This process of inner work not only transformed her life off the mat but also introduced her to a spiritual dimension of healing, offering a peace and sense of Self she had never imagined possible. For her, yoga is not just something you do—it is a state of being and a way of experiencing life.
As a dedicated student of Yoga, Meditation, Prāṇāyāma, Chanting, and Yoga Philosophy, Kevala has immersed herself deeply in these ancient traditions. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher, a Yoga Therapist in-training, and is currently pursuing her MS/Ph.D. in Yoga Science at Vivekananda Yoga University. With a specialization in Yoga for Trauma Recovery and Spiritual teachings, Kevala combines her comprehensive training with her own lived experience to compassionately guide others on their healing and Self-discovery journeys.
As the founder and owner of The Mind-Body Connection Yoga Studio, Kevala is committed to making yoga accessible to everyone. Her mission is to shift the perception of yoga in the U.S. from a fitness routine to a powerful therapeutic modality and an accessible spiritual practice, deeply rooted in its ancient traditions and capable of transforming lives.
