Welcome to our prenatal yoga class, a nurturing space designed specifically for expectant mothers to support their physical, mental, and emotional well-being throughout their pregnancy journey. Our experienced and certified prenatal yoga instructor is here to guide you through a practice tailored to the unique needs of pregnancy while guiding you to create a bond with your baby.

As you enter the tranquil studio, you'll find a warm and inviting environment where you can connect with other pregnant women who are on a similar path. The class begins with a brief check-in, allowing you to share any concerns, joys, or questions you may have, fostering a sense of community and support. We start by focusing on breath awareness, inviting you to connect with your body and your baby. Through gentle breathing exercises, you'll learn techniques to calm your mind, relax your body, and cultivate a deep sense of peace and serenity.

Next, we transition into a series of gentle stretches and movements that are specifically designed to alleviate common pregnancy discomforts. These poses focus on strengthening the muscles that support your changing body, improving posture, and relieving tension in areas such as the back, hips, and shoulders. Modifications and props are offered to ensure your comfort and safety. Our practice includes pelvic floor exercises to help you maintain strength and flexibility in this essential area. Strengthening the pelvic floor muscles can contribute to a more comfortable pregnancy, support the baby's growth, and prepare you for the birthing process.

Throughout the class, we emphasize mindfulness and body awareness, encouraging you to listen to your body's needs and honor your limitations. You'll learn techniques to cultivate a deeper connection with your baby, fostering a sense of bonding and nurturing during this precious time.

As the class progresses, we explore gentle flowing sequences and restorative poses to promote relaxation and release tension. Guided visualizations and meditations are incorporated to help you cultivate a positive mindset, reduce anxiety, and enhance your overall well-being. Our prenatal yoga class is a space of non-judgment and self-care, where you can embrace the changes happening within you and celebrate the miracle of life. It is a safe haven where you can express yourself, ask questions, and receive personalized guidance from our compassionate instructor.

At the end of the class, we conclude with a blissful relaxation session, allowing you to surrender into a state of deep calmness and restoration. You'll leave feeling rejuvenated, supported, and empowered, carrying the benefits of your practice into your pregnancy and beyond.

It's important for pregnant women to consult with their healthcare provider before starting any exercise program, including prenatal yoga, to ensure it aligns with their specific needs and medical considerations. Prenatal yoga can be a valuable practice that promotes physical and emotional well-being, prepares women for childbirth, and fosters a sense of connection and support during pregnancy.

 Bring your own yoga mat, water, and maybe some nuts or small snack in case of nausea.  Wear comfortable pants and top that allows for movement.  Yoga props will be provided (blocks, belts, blankets, bolster) but feel free to bring anything additional with you to class to make yourself more comfortable.

Please arrive 10-15 minutes before the start of class.
