About the Course

Welcome to our Yin Yoga class, a serene and introspective practice that focuses on deep relaxation and gentle stretching. This class offers a peaceful and meditative experience, allowing you to slow down, release tension, and find stillness within.


As you enter the yoga studio, you will notice a calm and tranquil atmosphere, creating a soothing environment for your Yin Yoga practice. Our experienced instructor will guide you through a series of floor-based poses that are held for an extended period of time, typically ranging from 3 to 5 minutes.


Yin Yoga targets the deep connective tissues, such as ligaments, tendons, and fascia, promoting flexibility and improved joint mobility. The poses are mainly seated or reclined, and props may be used to support your comfort and relaxation.


In Yin Yoga, the emphasis is on surrendering and softening into each pose, allowing gravity and breath to gently deepen the stretch. You will be encouraged to find your edge, the point where you feel a gentle and sustainable sensation, without pushing yourself to the point of discomfort.


During the long holds, you will have the opportunity to explore mindfulness and introspection. The stillness of the poses creates space for reflection, as you observe sensations, thoughts, and emotions that arise. This meditative aspect of Yin Yoga promotes self-awareness, acceptance, and a sense of inner peace.


As you deepen into the practice, you may also experience the release of physical and emotional tension stored in the body. Yin Yoga can help to alleviate stress, anxiety, and promote a sense of relaxation and well-being.The class will incorporate gentle breathwork and relaxation techniques to enhance the calming and meditative nature of the practice. You will be guided to find a slow and steady rhythm of breath, allowing it to support your relaxation and cultivate a sense of spaciousness within.


Yin Yoga is suitable for all levels, regardless of previous yoga experience or flexibility. The practice is adaptable to individual needs, and modifications will be offered to ensure your comfort and safety.


As the class concludes, you will have the opportunity to rest in a final relaxation pose, allowing the body to integrate the benefits of the practice and experience a deep sense of restfulness.
